A fitting tribute at Oriole Park to John Denver during Game 6 of the American League Championship Series, October 15, 1997, just three days after the artist’s tragic death at age 53 and less than a month after he last performed it live at an Orioles game.

John Denver’s “Thank God I’m a Country Boy” still rings through Oriole Park (Opening Day 2022), more than 45 years after its debut during the Seventh Inning Stretch in the 1970s.
